| The Pasture, Rangeland, Forage Rainfall Index program (PRF-RI) is based on weather data collected and maintained by NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center for 58 years. The index reflects how much precipitation is received relative to the long-term average for a specified area and timeframe of two month intervals. |

| The Pasture, Rangeland, Forage Vegetation Index program (PRF-VI) uses 2 out of 5 NASA satellites to determine the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). The NDVI measures and monitors the plant growth, and the vegetation which allows both satellites to show the chlorophyll levels through infrared light. This technology will benefit the rancher in assessing his/her specific land needs. |
